Please try and understand

Disregard problem people

Improve your emotional state

Checked my list

I'm clean and washed 

Got my passport

Got my keys

Cat is with a friend

Need to leave

Have been so excited

Counting down the weeks

But I’m a little uncertain

Where are we meant to meet?

Phone is in my suitcase

Taxi is outside

Where is it I'm going?

In 2 hours I must fly

Checklist is ticked

I've got everything

Except for a location

For where I begin

Get in the cab

Hope the driver knows

My friends will be let down

If I'm a no show

Where am I meant to be?

Trying hard I remember

Fairy Nuff

Could not go on

She tried & tried

For very long

No one listens

No one hears

She'd screamed & yelled

For 60 years

"I cannot shout

Not anymore

They don't care

And my throat is sore

Instead I'll sleep

Peacefully doze

I'll be content

And they'll never know"

And so she slept

And shouted no more

But others could hear

So loud was her snore

They couldn't take it

And banged on her door

But her sleep was so deep

That she did ignore

They finally heard

But she had no clue

Alone in her home

A long way away is the way

The way to the truth of it all

Along the way you'll find clues

But many a time you will stall

Each stall creates re direction

Sometimes taking you back

How you find the key

Depends on how you react

Use each key wisely

Decipher as best as you can

Ask important questions

Try to understand

Barriers block your progress

But there is a need for each one

So after you've unlocked the door

Remember where you had begun

Then look about

And see where you are

When you turn around

You'll know you've travelled far

Retaining mementoes along the way

But leaving some baggage behind

You'll still have more to offload

As there's many more gifts to find

So on your way to knowing the way

Try to look ahead

Learn and stay focussed

The truth will be found before you're dead!

They think I have comfort

They think I'm in control

Confident in who I am

They look at me like I'm whole

This is me

See who I portray

A self assured woman

I look but turn away

Seeing through their eyes

They see who I want to be

But I have blurred vision

Through not looking properly

Inside not satisfaction

Desire not fulfilled

Wanting instead what they have

But knowing that is false will

Don't want what others have

For you know not what they believe

Reflections of their life

Are not for you to achieve

Look again correcting your focus

Believe in the real you

Your mind can create distortion

So you must find a better view

For what others see is clear

You just have to realise

That their view is a manifestation

Of how you affect their lives

Every action creates reaction

Scientists have proved

And if that reaction is positive

Then its basis should be approved

Take a chocking breath

Tar filling your lungs

Easing the stress

Why so troubled?

What is on your mind?

That smoky glowing stick

Of which you've been deprived

So take another puff
And miss it no more

Relax and breathe in deep

Those chemicals are a cure

A cure to your senses

Removing the sensible ones

You enjoy faggy breath

And it costs you a bomb

So strongly committed

You suffer wind and rain

Leave the company of friends

For a worthless gain

What a stupid fool

It's so easy for this habit to end

Counteract the cravings

Knowing your body will mend

Fight that addiction

You know that you are strong

No more cigarettes

We all need re-assurance

To affirm who we are

Others pride brings satisfaction

That in life we have come far

They approve

They compliment

Our minds rest assured

Our hearts saved from lament

So important to be judged

Such need for their thoughts

In hearing what they think

About ourselves we are taught

But they don't need to educate

Ultimate knowledge lies within

Do we know ourselves?

That is where to begin

Take back ownership

Understand what is inside

Knowledge of your own spirit

Will be your real guide

First approve of yourself

Happy that you are you

Others can form their opinions

But to thine own self be true
